ALMOST FULL

Tonite the moon was almost full, not quite, maybe tomorrow nite. IT was the color of my big guy though. Last nite I finished his embroidery work and I think he's developed his own personality, what a charmer ;-0

Wed nite is my sewing nite. The local adult ed offers quilting classes for a mere $10 a quarter. The 'classes' are held at the senior center. It's a real nice group of ladies. I always bring my handwork, sit 'n stitch and listen to all the gossip. There are teachers there if you need any help? and every once in awhile they have a group project. There are two ladies that like to applique the same patterns that I do and it gives me something to look forward to every mid week. I love seeing what they are up to. One of the ladies bought the kit for this quilt and it was interesting to see what the kit had to offer. I'm never trusting enough to let someone else pick out my fabrics for me. I guess it's a control thing and fabric shopping is my favorite thing and hey! it's the thrill of the hunt!! Right?

Thank you all for your comments, compliments and making me feel so welcome.

Oh Mar...he does have his own personality. Those eyes even have a sinister look to them...he's sure out to scare the bejeebers out of some little kid!! LOL Keep up the good work.

What a smirky smile- he isn't just stiches on fabric, he really looks to have his own personality. I see him as a used car salesman.... Don't know how you achieved it, but its wonderful.

What a cute guy! In a devilish kind of way! He looks to be up to no good!

Your senior group sounds wonderful. I found one near the office, but they meet during the day. Shucks!

This quilt is really coming along quickly! Good job!

Oh, he's quite cute. Looks like a guy you'd encounter who would at you, smile, wink and say "how you doing". LOL

Mar, what a beautiful moon! The coloring certainly does look like the pictures I saw of the eclipse! And what personality.

I rarely buy kits either, especially when lots of other people are making the kit. I do buy them when they are half price and make something else out of them though. And I did manage to buy a couple of kits that I like enough to make the pattern with - I don't know anybody else who made the kit, so hopefully it won't look just like anybody else's I know!

Mr. Moon is great!, I too like to pick out my own fabric usually...

I am doing my first BOM now that the fabric came with it ... so far I am very pleased :O)...

Your "man" in the moon is quite a fella! He just jumps out at you, like he's the real deal - you did an incredible job!
I like to choose my own fabrics for a project too, but I do love the ease of a kit once in awhile. The few kits I have bought have never disappointed, I'm happy to say.

I love that moon. He looks like he's up to something just a little bit wicked.
