Well, I didn't buy any fabric this week, I just finished this block that I already had. Does that count? Does it count that those little filler blocks are paperpieced and I wasted a bunch of fabric cutting my pieces out to small? Not to mention that it took me all day yesterday to make these five little blocks! I'm such a doofus, thinking I'm so smart. I haven't pp'd in a long time and it took me a while to get back in the swing of it. I had just enough to get the job done!
This is the first block of the Piece and Plenty Mystery from
The Fat Quarter Shop. I love that they are using this fabric line, it's
Madeira by Blackbird Designs from Moda. So far each block is a basket by a different designer. This block is by Amy Bradley. Can't wait to start the next one!

It looks great! Wow! You really went to town getting that one done! And now that you're an expert in PP'g, can I prevail on you to make mine? No? Oh, well, I tried! LOL
That is one great looking block. Keep up the good work.
Love both baskets, big and small! I need to get back to work on my Flight of Fancy, I love working on the applique! I never thought I'd say that.
Your Piece and Plenty basket it beautiful. Nice job!! Love the other baskets too. No PP for me though.
Those look lovely Mar - hope you enjoyed the rest of your day as well. Hugs.
How fun! I was just thinking I need a basket project....hmmmm.....
Thanks, Mar!
Oh Mar! That basket block is awesome. Love the colors!
Love the basket block!!! So pretty!
Paper pieced, shudder ..... I am so not good at that! your blocks look good!
I haven't paper-pieced in awhile either. It's a different mindset, isn't it? What you did is beautiful, in PP and applique! I do love the Madeira fabric line. I can't wait to see the next block! Good work, Mar!
It was from stash and it used fabric? I'd say it counts. Lovely work!
Love your basket block - the Madeira fabric is gorgeous.
Your block is gorgeous! You did a great job on those little pp'd blocks....not my favorite method to do. I always seem to fall short.
I have the same problem with PP, I forget that I need a bigger piece of fabric. The basket of flowers is wonderful. Can't wait to see the next one.
Your Peace & Plenty basket blocks are both so pretty! I am so tempted, but will hopefully be content to follow your progress. The fabrics are gorgeous, too.
Oh, What a fun to see your block! I love the color and fabrics! It's beautiful...
My friend is doing this BOM also and I'll tell her about you and your blog.

Can't wait to see your next block! Please Keep updating your project.
